William Hill takes sportsbook to Atlantic City

2 new locations announced for sportsbook

British bookmaker William Hill has announced plans to operate its sports betting book at two new locations in Atlantic City – Monmouth Park, which is projected to open its sportsbook on 8th June once the track launches sports betting, and at the new Ocean Resort Casino in Atlantic City towards the end of June.

The moves will need state approval, with the Legislature expected to take their final decision by June 7th.

“We are very excited to be a part of Ocean Resort Casino and to have a presence on the Atlantic City boardwalk,” said Joe Asher, the CEO of William Hill U.S. “We have had great success working with Ocean’s senior management in Las Vegas, and we are excited to have the chance to do so in Atlantic City at what will be the best sports book in town.”

The planned sports book at the Ocean Resort Casino will occupy a 7500-square-foot space on the gaming floor, with a centre bar and state-of-the-art video wall technology for viewing of sporting events and live InPlay betting odds. Customers will find a varied sports-betting menu at their disposal, with football, basketball, baseball, hockey, soccer, and tennis, all available to wager on.

New Jersey bettors will also be able to make use of William Hill technology, including its mobile and online sportsbook products. This expansion is in line with the bookmaker’s positive start to 2018 which saw reports of growth and increased revenue.

“Ocean Resort Casino is thrilled to partner with William Hill, the best name in sports betting, to establish a truly unique sports betting experience in the center of our resort and in Atlantic City,” said Bruce Deifik, chairman of AC Ocean Walk, the company that owns Ocean Resort Casino. “From real-time betting to exclusive hospitality for major events, the sports book will be second-to-none.”
