DOWNLOAD: LGA issues digital games of skill consultation document
The Malta Lotteries and Gaming Authority has acknowledged that there may be concerns due to the lack of regulation in respect to digital games of skill with prize via distance communication. The LGA added that existing legislation, specifically consumer legislation, may not be sufficient to address this market.
In addition, the LGA acknowledges that the process of regulating this sector may bring with it new challenges to operators. Hence, a consultation period is being set up to gather feedback and answer any queries that may arise. Feedback from the gaming community and other indirect stakeholders may be sent by email to skillgames.lga@lga.org.mt by latest February 4th 2015.
Alternatively, responses can be sent by post to ‘Skill Games, Lotteries and Gaming Authority, Suite 1, Level 3, TG Complex, Brewery Street, Mriehel, BKR 3000, Malta
