Danish online casino market continues to grow in Q2
According to Spillemyndigheden, official regulatory body of gambling in Denmark, the country’s online casino market boosts its growth during Q2. It is a continuation of an excellent outcome which took place in the first quarter of 2015.
In the second quarter of 2015, the revenue of online casino licencees in Denmark accounted for DDK335 million (€44.9 million). Comparing to the same period of the previous year, it is an increase of DDK 65 million, which results in a significant growth rate of 24%.
The whole gambling market, including land-based ventures, achieved revenue up 11% to DKK805 million. It is partially due to the expansion of gaming machine industry, which rose from DDK395 million in Q2 2014 to DDK415 million in Q2 2015.
