Big Time Gaming lands milestone deal with Blueprint Gaming

Big Time Gaming to license MegaWays to Blueprint Gaming

Big Time Gaming, the Australia-based online slot developer, has signed a landmark deal to license its patented and trademarked MegaWays mechanic to Blueprint Gaming, a well-known UK-based game studio.

The agreement offers Blueprint Gaming, part of the Gauselmann Group, the opportunity to design and develop its own games using MegaWays, which debuted in Big Time Gaming’s Dragon Born over two years ago.

The first Blueprint release that will integrate MegaWays is Diamond Mine, launching in May, which will be followed by Irish Riches Progressive.

The Big Time Gaming CEO, Nik Robinson, commented: “This is a ground-breaking agreement that stands testament to the highly innovative and unique mechanics we have developed here at Big Time Gaming.”

“MegaWays is a very successful mechanic and we believe it will eventually dwarf the standard 5×3 format of recent years. We are delighted to be able to share it with Blueprint Gaming and we believe this deal will lay the foundation for similar deals in the future.”

MegaWays is a random reel modifier system that allows any given spin to produce a different number of symbols across the reels, allowing players to experience a totally different game with every spin.

The latest iteration of MegaWays is powering BTG’s latest slot release, Extra Chilli, which has become the most successful LeoVegas launch of all time, smashing all previous KPIs from any provider.

Big Time Gaming has cornered the market with this innovation with games like Bonanza, White Rabbit and Extra Chilli.

The Blueprint Gaming managing director, Matt Cole, added: “Big Time Gaming has created a great game format in MegaWays and we look forward to incorporating what has become a very well recognised mechanic in a set of future Blueprint titles.”

Blueprint Gaming is owned by German gambling giant, the Gauselmann Group, which designs, develops and builds slot machines and games for land-based and online operators.
