Betway organises Super Saturday sponsorship in preparation for Festival
Betway has announced its recent agreement to sponsor three races at this year’s highly-anticipated week-long Galway Races Summer Festival, which kicks off on Monday 30th July.
Betway’s Anthony Werkman, said: “The Galway Races Summer Festival is a fantastic occasion and we’re thrilled to be a part of it. This is our first sponsorship in Irish racing and we’re really pleased to be able to kick it off at Galway, where the week-long Festival is an event not to be missed.
“Betting on racing in Ireland is hugely popular and we hope this sponsorship will help us to increase brand awareness among a new circle of potential customers.”
This will be the company’s first horse racing sponsorship in Ireland. The leading online bookmaker will sponsor the first three races on the sixth day of the prestigious meeting, known as Super Saturday.
The three races that open Saturday’s card will now be named; Betway Irish EBF Maiden, Betway Maiden and Betway Irish E.B.F. Nursery Handicap.
Michael Moloney, General Manager, Galway Racecourse, said: “We’re delighted to have Betway on board as a new sponsor for the Galway Races Summer Festival. It’s great to see Betway investing in Irish racing as they sponsor the first three races on our Saturday card. This race sponsorship will be their first in Irish racing and we look forward to working with them.”
