15,000 delegates make this SiGMA the biggest show yet
It’s a wrap! SiGMA’s biggest show to date has closed its doors after three days brimming with conferences, workshops, a high energy expo floor, and premier networking events.
Here are some of the best moments to catch our eye:
An electric expo
With live gaming and eye-catching stand designs, this expo was a feast for the senses. Exhibitors brought a global flavour to the summit, showcasing cutting-edge games and software, offering innovative industry solutions, and bringing crucial networking opportunities to delegates looking to make next-level connections and deals. With energy high throughout the three-day-event, the expo floor was definitely the place to be for delegates looking to mix business with pleasure.
Bridging the knowledge gap
A series of 6 thought-provoking conferences and workshops offered a mixture of knowledge sharing and fierce debate from some of the best minds in the industry. From finance and blockchain solutions, to tackling the brain drain in the HR and Careers conference, to regulation and compliance across jurisdictions both new and old, to eSports and sportsbook, we took a 360 degree look at the iGaming sector.
Here’s what some of our panelists had to say:
“There are huge opportunities, notwithstanding the difficulties in the sector right now, for innovative, creative, scalable businesses. The operators want you to do well, you have a perfect alignment with them. There are huge opportunities outside of EU markets right, the States, Japan, Africa.” – Susan Breen
“Cryptocurrencies present an opportunity for ordinary people for the first time in history to take control of their finances, because this is how governments and institutions control the masses. You’re living in a surveillance state financially and crypto offers an opportunity to free you from that.” – John McAfee
“Let’s find ways of how we, Malta, as a jurisdiction can help you in ensuring that your talent find Malta as a home.” – Ivan Filetti
“One area that AI is focusing on a lot is building public trust in AI. It’s important in the recruitment process that recruiters explain why they are asking for this information – this will go a long way to help people trust the process.” – Angelo Dalli
“We’ve changed to embrace your terms – I hope you’ll take the time to say: the last time i thought of Microsoft i thought of Windows, but this is a new Microsoft, this is a Microsoft that is different from the mic your parents worked with, this is a Microsoft that is here to help you.” – Karl Davies Barrett
SiGMA Start-up Pitch
The annual SiGMA start-up pitch also brought investment opportunities and sound business advice to start-ups looking to gain a foothold in the industry as they battled it out for the top prize. A fiercely-fought battle saw bethereum crowned its winner – keep an eye out for their upcoming interview in the next issue of SiGMA Magazine.
Top-notch networking events
While the days were jam-packed with activity, the evenings definitely did not disappoint. We pulled out all the stops to bring the best in entertainment and networking, from luxury iGathering dinners, to a Betting on Boxing joust, and a sunset cruise, there was plenty of after dark events in the SiGMA calendar to keep attendees busy. A closing night party hosted by Fashion TV Gaming, Pragmatic Play and Videoslots ended the summit in style.
Onwards and upwards
As 2019 draws to a close, we’re looking forward to 2020 as we work towards the June launch of SiGMA Group’s Manila inaugural show. The super expo, which will take place in Manila on the 8th-9th of June, in 2020, will be held at the SMX Convention Centre and the adjacent Conrad Hotel, and is set to be one of the biggest and most anticipated gaming and blockchain events in Asia next year.
Held together with ICE Asia and PAGCOR, the gambling and emerging tech show will cater for the land-based gambling and iGaming sector, as well as blockchain and AI, through three highly-anticipated shows – bringing a convergence of online suppliers, operators, affiliates, regulators and blockchain businesses together under one roof.
10,000 delegates from across Europe, the US, and Asia are expected to attend, making this one of the biggest shows to unite East and West in the region.
The floor plan for Asia is already filling up fast. Detailed information about our Sponsorship and Exhibitor packages can be found on our site. If you have any questions, or wish to speak to someone about opportunities, please contact Eman email@example.com or Jean at firstname.lastname@example.org.
