Football games will restart in just 19 days
The English Premier League is due to return next month with an immense rise in projected amount of games shown on TV.
During a board conference the English national football league issued the green signal, defined as Plan Restart.
Premier League teams have basically reached an agreement, that the Premier League will be officially back to play. The first game back is set to be played on June 17 with Aston Villa v Sheffield United and Manchester City v Arsenal until a full fixture list on the June 19-21 weekend.
Spanish media Sel Radio reported on the 28th that La Liga President Javier Tebas has also confirmed at the meeting that La Liga will restart on June 11 and officially end on July 19. The opening game of La Liga restart will be Sevilla vs. Royal Betis.
Italy Serie A League issued a statement saying it would stick to the plan to restart the league on June 13.
Premier League chief executive Richard Masters stated “We have provisionally agreed to resume the Premier League on Wednesday 17 June but this date cannot be confirmed until we have met all the safety requirements needed, as the health and welfare of all participants and supporters is our priority.”
Every match will be played behind closed doors but screened live by either Sky Sports, BT Sport, Amazon Prime or the BBC.
